Opening Hours

In 2023, Danhostel Aarhus is open from Monday the 16th of January to Thursday the 21th of December.

Opening hours of the reception:
From the 6st of January to the 1st of April
Monday-Thursday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Friday-Saturday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Sunday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm 

From the 1st of April to the 1st of November
Monday-Sunday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm

From the 1st of November to the 20th of December
Monday-Thursday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Friday-Saturday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Sunday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm 
 

NB. From the 6st of January to the 1st of April as well as from the 1st of November to the 20th of December, check-in on Sundays functions as self check-in. By self check-in, we mean that the reception usually is not open on Sunday evenings, and that guests who arrive on Sundays are encouraged to call us between 8am-12pm to arrange pick-up of the key with the reception.

Check-in and Check-out

Check-in is from 4:00 pm and until the reception closes – please contact us for arrival outside of the reception´s opening hours.

Check-out is before 10:00 am.
Keys and, if rented, bed linen must be returned to the reception.

Cancellation

A booking can be cancelled until noon 3 days before arrival. All prepaid funds will be refunded, however, we charge an administration fee of 100.00 DKK. per. room for the first night, and then 50kr. per. room, per sleepover.
Cancellations are only valid when in writing, by providing a booking number or a customer ID, either via fax or e-mail.

If a booking is cancelled later than 12:00 pm (noon) 3 days before arrival, no refund can be made.

Pets

Living in a Hostel

All rooms have bunk beds and duvets and pillows, it is possible to bring your own bed linen or to rent it in the reception. Sleeping bags are not allowed.

Out of consideration for the other guests, the hostel must be quiet from 11:00 pm – 7:00 am.

Preparation of meals and eating in the rooms is not permitted, but you are free to use the Guest Kitchen.

Smoking is not allowed indoors.

It is not allowed to bring Alcohol and other intoxicants to the hostel. It is however possible to buy beer and wine in our reception and in the vending machine in the common room.
